A/E/C Training Technologies specializes in providing innovative training, publishing and consulting services and products for the construction industry. Our mission is to contribute to the professional development of our clients by giving them the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the ever-changing world of construction.

A/E/C was founded in 1999 by Michael C. Loulakis, a nationally recognized authority in the area of design-build who is the President/CEO of the boutique construction consulting firm, Capital Project Strategies, LLC. Mr. Loulakis is a highly acclaimed speaker and author on construction law topics, and has written several books on design-build.

Based on his teaching experience, he felt that training on design-build and other alternative delivery processes could be enhanced through the use of multimedia and interactive instructional tools. With this in mind, Mr. Loulakis developed A/E/C’s first product, Construction Project Delivery Systems: Evaluating the Owner’s Alternatives, an interactive CD-ROM that reviews the ins and outs of construction project delivery. This narrated, animated program is one of the most comprehensive sources of information for project delivery. It is currently being used by universities around the United States, as well as by contractors, designers and others who want to better understand project delivery options. Construction Project Delivery Systems: Evaluating the Owner’s Alternatives has also been used extensively by public and private sector owners who need help in learning about design-build and selecting the best delivery system for their projects.

Construction Project Delivery Systems: Evaluating the Owner’s Alternatives has become A/E/C’s flagship product. It is used with many of our training programs on design-build, and is now, based on client demand, available for distribution through site licenses. But it is not our only product.

A/E/C is also the co-publisher of a widely read treatise authored by Mr. Loulakis entitled Design-Build Lessons Learned. This resource, published annually by Mr. Loulakis since 1995, analyzes every written court opinion issued in a given year on a design-build project. Design-Build Lessons Learned is also being used by several universities, and has been selected by the Design-Build Institute of America as one of four requirements for those intending to seek designation as a “Design-Build Professional.”

A/E/C is also proud to have been selected by RedVector.com to develop online design-build and project delivery courses. RedVector is the global leader in online continuing education for professionals in the engineering, architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, building inspection, construction and land surveying industries. A/E/C currently has two courses offered through RedVector, with several more to come.
