Michael C. Loulakis is the
author of "Construction Project Delivery Systems:
Evaluating the Owner's Alternatives," and the "Design-Build Lessons Learned" series.
He is also the
founder of
A/E/C Training Technologies and the President/CEO of the boutique construction consulting firm, Capital Project Strategies, LLC. He is both a civil engineer and a lawyer, having
received a BSCE degree from Tufts University and a JD degree from
Boston University School of Law.
Mr. Loulakis has an extensive
background in project delivery systems -- particularly relative to
the design-build and construction management processes. For almost
30 years, he has provided advice to owners, A/Es, contractors, and
others on a wide range of construction issues, including selection
of the right project delivery system, drafting of procurement
documents, administration of claims, and dispute resolution. Some

He took the lead role in developing the DBIA standard form
design-build contracts and the DBIA Design-Build Contracting
Guide.
Mr. Loulakis is a widely
published writer on project delivery systems and other issues
affecting the A/E/C industry. His books include:

trade and professional groups.
